Modern Farmhouse Comes To Life
Indianapolis homebuyer Mallory Lee is no stranger to the new build process. In fact, Mallory and her husband have built three new homes together. Their most recent move to build was sparked by the addition of their third son. The need for more space, plus a custom plan designed around their lifestyle, led them to Design Gallery Homes, a Build on Your Lot division of Drees Homes.
The Selection of the Perfect Setting
The Lee family had pinpointed a picturesque custom community located in a suburb of Indianapolis as the perfect place to raise their family. From there, they started researching builder options. Mallory reported, “We chose Design Gallery Homes, because of the combination of customization, plus speed. Because Design Gallery Homes uses a network of subcontractors and processes they inherit from Drees, a custom home can come to life in less than one year.”
Once the Lee family teamed up with Drees, the Design Gallery Homes team helped them locate, review and select the perfect home site in their desired neighborhood. When recalling the beginning of the home building process, Mallory shared, “We loved the predictability of making our design choices up front and having a final price before we committed to the build. With other custom builders, the budget is too flexible and harder to predict.”
Designing Their Dream Home
Mallory and Brian had a clear vision of what they wanted in their new home. To get started, they reviewed the collection of Build on Your Lot floor plans and evaluated each designs based on their must-have list. Particulars on their must-have list included a dedicated playroom for the kids, large working pantry and kitchen pocket office. The Drees team was able to modify their chosen plan, the Monticello, to meet these needs.
After structural decisions were made and the plans were drawn, the Lees explored an array of selections available at the Drees Design Center, a one-stop shop located off of East 96th Street in Indianapolis. Homebuyers can pinpoint their style and see their chosen materials come together, fulfilling the vision they have for their new home. At the Drees Design Center, professional Design Consultants guide homebuyers through the selections process and assist in making strategic and stylish choices.
The End Result
Their new Monticello stands as an exquisite example of modern farmhouse design. Its exterior with its distinctive curb appeal sets the scene for an interior that wows once you step inside.
The bright and airy main level features the Drees signature living triangle. The conjoining gourmet kitchen, welcoming family room and dining space create the perfect place for quality family time or even entertaining friends.
The calming color palette of the kitchen paired with the organic and sleek textures create a memorable heart of the home. And the kitchen gets even sweeter with its own butler’s pantry, working pantry and pocket office tucked out of sight.
As you venture deeper inside the main level of the home, you’ll discover a spacious study, playroom, covered outdoor living area and convenient family foyer for organization off the garage.
Upstairs, the couple and their children retreat to private quarters. A luxurious master suite with a spa-like bath featuring a marble super shower provides solace from the hustle and bustle of the day. The owner’s suite also includes a spacious walk-in closet and connecting laundry.
Additionally, their home offers a finished lower level complete with a rec room, media room and guest suite.
