The Duke Story
It began on a farm. Mike Duke, president of Duke Homes, grew up on a farm in northern Johnson County. In 1986, while pursuing finance and real estate degrees at IU, with a suggestion from his dad, Norm Duke, Mike began to supplement the family farm income by building “a few homes a year.” He adds, “This brought together everything that I enjoyed doing. I became hooked on home-building.” Since starting the business in 1986, Duke has become well known for their hands-on presence in ensuring unparalleled customer experience and service. “Our goal is to capture a dream, a unique style that becomes a treasure for those who call it home.”
